  • Luminance Formula: Output raster pixels are converted to grayscale using the standard relative luminance coefficients: Y = 0.2126 R + 0.7152 G + 0.0722 B.
  • Color Data: The RGB channels are transformed into a single luminance value, effectively resulting in a monochromatic representation.
  • Transparency: Alpha channels (transparency) on PNG files are completely preserved exactly as they were in the source.
  • Local Processing: The original local image is not modified, and processing happens securely on your device.
